Welcome!

The Park People works to preserve, enhance, and advocate for Denver's parks, recreation resources, open space and urban forest. We pursue this mission by raising private funds for park enhancements and capital projects, like the reconstruction of the Cranmer Park Sundial & Plaza, and through our programs: Denver Digs Trees, Mile High Tree Champions, Community Forester and the Park Legacy program.

Denver Digs Trees - Volunteer with the Park People!

Help increase Denver’s tree canopy…

This Spring, The Park People will distribute over 1,000 trees to residents in Denver! These trees will grow to cool our neighborhoods, help us conserve energy, filter air pollution, provide habitat for wildlife, beautify our neighborhoods, and absorb and store greenhouse gases!

Applications are due February 15, so we need to spread the word now -- AND there are many ways you can get involved!

Do an independent neighborhood canvass: https://goo.gl/forms/RWbq9vgDKnA3c5xm2

Distribute posters & flyers: https://goo.gl/forms/tOYoKTJ2fsLo28qg1

Help increase tree canopy in Denver!

Spread the word about free & low-cost trees offered through the Denver Digs Trees program. Join a volunteer canvassing team and walk the NE Park Hill neighborhood to distribute informational doorhangers.  We'll meet as a group, and then head out in pairs. It's easy and fun! The canvass will occur from 9am to noon.  Free hot coffee and light snack provided.

You’ll leave doorhangers letting people know about this special opportunity to receive free and low-cost trees through the Denver Digs Trees program. These trees will grow to cool neighborhoods, conserve energy, filter air pollution, provide habitat for wildlife, beautify our neighborhoods, and reduce greenhouse gases!

Not only will you be helping the environment and our local community, it’s also a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise, and meet new people while you’re at it.
