Volunteer
Our volunteers come from all corners of the city and a variety of backgrounds. They combine their unique talents and skills with their passion for Denver’s green spaces, to make a real difference in the quality of life for both current and future Denver residents. They help wrap trunks and lay mulch for healthy trees, canvass neighborhoods to spread the word about trees, green up parks, table at community events, prep mailers and outreach materials, distribute and plant trees, and so much more.
Common Volunteer Opportunities
Administrative Assistant
Help with administrative and program tasks in The Park People's office or at home. Play a critical role making our work possible and supporting the needs of our communities.
Community Forester
Become a knowledgeable steward of Denver's urban forest. You'll learn proper tree care from Denver's experts and hone your skills in stewardship projects throughout the city.
Event/Development Volunteer
Help prepare for events hosted by The Park People and expand our sponsor and vendor relationships - essential work for our mission!
Neighborhood Ambassador
Share your excitement about trees with your neighbors or other Denver residents. Canvass the neighborhood to alert residents about our free and low-cost yard and street trees. Table at fairs and festivals or speak at neighborhood meetings to teach others the many benefits offered by trees.
Photographer/Videographer
Capture compelling images and footage that show the impact of our work. This is a volunteer position or internship.
Social Media/Digital Marketing Associate
Help us keep our social fun, fresh, and informative. The Park People currently uses Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This is a volunteer position or internship.
