ONGOING: Flyer Your Neighborhood for Denver Digs!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Denver Digs Trees is The Park People’s big annual citywide young tree distribution in April. The online application now open! Denver community members can apply for beautiful free and low-cost shade trees. Our energetic volunteers are our key to spreading the word and pumping up those application #s, so we can distribute all 1,500 trees for 2026.
Our goal is at least 800 Digs applications by February 15. How many folks can YOU encourage to apply for a tree?!
These are some ways you can make an impact to grow our urban forest, as your convenience:
- DOORHANGERS: Work at your own time and pace, walking door-to-door leaving doorhangers in an area of your choosing. Pair up with friends or go out on your own. There’s no knocking on doors required and you can do as much or as little of a neighborhood as you’d like. You can even just pick up some doorhangers for your friends and neighbors. We are happy to provide you with materials to canvass or poster in any Denver neighborhood!
- POSTERING LOCAL BUSINESSES: Hang Denver Digs Trees 6″x9″ posters at businesses and community boards around town.
- POSTERING LIBRARIES AND REC CENTERS: Hang Denver Digs Trees 6″x9″ posters at City of Denver libraries and rec centers in a quadrant of the city.
- DIGITAL OUTREACH: Connect The Park People with old and new friends and followers on social media. We’ll email you prepared blurbs and images to share on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, NextDoor.com, etc. Easy!
