Volunteer Opportunity: Tribute Tree Health Checks

Sunday, March 1 - Thursday, April 30

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Perform Tree Health Checks on Tribute Trees in Denver Parks. This opportunity is open to Community Foresters.

Volunteers will visit the park(s) in their neighborhoods or nearby and conduct health inspections, recording any stewardship tasks needed (mulch, weed, wrap, unwrap, pruning broken branches, watering). These trees are planted in memoriam of loved ones. Stewarding these trees improves our parks, as well as honors the people or events they are planted for.

**In-person & online training sessions will be provided for those who are new to checking trees and those who would like a refresher.

    • Training sessions –  Online training: Thursday, Feb 26 – 6:00 – 7:00 pm
    • In-person training: Washington Park, Saturday, Feb 28, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm (exact location TBD)
