Downtown Denver Tree Wrapping Day #1

TREE WRAP — Calling all tree care volunteers!!! We’ve scheduled two separate volunteer days to help wrap the trunks of young trees planted in downtown Denver. If November 8th doesn’t work for you, please go back to our calendar and sign up for November 12th. This is an annual project in partnership with Downtown Denver Partnership.

Denver streets are such a harsh environment for baby trees to establish themselves, and young trees are at risk of sunscald injury in the winter, with sudden temperature changes. Our volunteers wrapping these baby trees really helps more trees survive their delicate years and grow into a healthy urban forest.
