This does not require any particular experience or skills and will include training. DESCRIPTION:VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Perform Tree Health Checks on Tribute Trees in Denver Parks. This opportunity is open to Community Foresters.\nVolunteers will visit the park(s) in their neighborhoods or nearby and conduct health inspections\, recording any stewardship tasks needed (mulch\, weed\, wrap\, unwrap\, pruning broken branches\, watering). These trees are planted in memoriam of loved ones. This opportunity is open to Community Foresters and Tree Stewards (folks who have completed 2 or more Community Forester workshops).\nSite Inspectors play a crucial role in bringing more street trees to our neighborhoods. By visiting properties and helping determine whether sites are approved for planting\, Site Inspectors ensure trees are placed where they can thrive and make a lasting impact. \nWe’re hosting a Site Inspection Training for Community Foresters\, Tree Stewards\, and experienced Site Inspectors. Help us inspect and approve planting sites for up to 200 street trees! This training will include information on Tree Spacing Regulations for the public right-of-way\, guidance for resident communication and supporting materials to use in the field. \nThe deadline for completed Site Inspection packets is March 20.
