Welcome!

The Park People's mission is to work with communities to plant trees and improve parks for a healthy, resilient future.

We improve parks by raising funds for park projects, like the reconstruction of the Cranmer Park Sundial & Plaza, and we support the urban forest through our programs: Denver Digs Trees, Mile High Tree Champions, TreeForceCommunity Forester, and the Park Legacy program.

Planting on the High Line

This year The Park People have partnered with the High Line Canal Conservancy to help volunteer plant over 175 trees along the trail this Fall!

Thank You to our volunteers who collaborated with HLCC volunteers and crew leaders as we worked together to safely get these tree into their new homes.

Saturday, October 30th will be the final planting event of 2021, but you can get involved with HLCC as the project continues next spring!

Robinson Park Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Let’s celebrate the completion of the Robinson Park Playground Project!

The park's playground and basketball court have been replaced, landscaping and picnic facilities improved, and overall accessibility upgraded - all thanks to the Elevate Denver Bond, Denver Parks and Recreation Legacy Fund, The Park People, Telluride Stone, LuBird’s Light, and the individual donors like you who enabled this project to reach its fullest potential.  Denver children will play, learn, and grow strong at the revitalized playground for years to come.  Thank you!

At noon we will gather at Robinson Park for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark this special milestone.  Our celebration will be part of the Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association’s annual Halloween parade, which begins at 11 am at Cranmer Park.  Costumed children (with their accompanying adults) will parade east on Second Avenue to Robinson Park where they will enjoy pizza and beverages.

You are welcome to join in the parade as well as the ribbon cutting ceremony!  If you want to attend the ribbon cutting only, please arrive at Robinson Park by 12pm.
