Administrative Assistant (Office or Home) Help with administrative and program tasks in The Park People office or at home. Play a critical role in serving the interests of Denver residents. Click to view the Administrative Assistant Role Description.
Community Foresters - Become a knowledgeable steward of Denver's urban forest. You'll learn proper tree care from Denver's experts and hone your skills in stewardship projects throughout the city. Click here to learn more about the Community Forester training program.
Event/Development Volunteer - Help prepare for events hosted by The Park People and expand vendor relationships. Help us take good care of our volunteers! Click to view the Event/Development Volunteer Role Description.
Grant Researcher - Perform grant research to support the programs and other activities of The Park People. Work with The Park People board and/or staff members to identify activities that need funding and then conduct research to identify well-matched potential funding opportunities and prospective sponsors/funders.
Neighborhood Ambassadors - Share your excitement about trees with your neighbors or other Denver residents. Canvass the neighborhood to alert residents about our free and low-cost yard and street trees. Table at fairs and festivals or speak at neighborhood meetings to teach others the many benefits offered by trees.
Site Inspection Captain - Help oversee the work of Site Inspector volunteers. Build the capacity of The Park People through leadership of volunteers. Training will be provided. Click to view the Site Inspection Captain Role Description.
Site Inspectors - Conduct inspections of properties in Denver that have requested trees through the Denver Digs Trees Spring Street Tree Distribution. Help maximize future tree canopy through the proper siting of trees. Training will be provided. Click to view the Site Inspector Role Description.
Tree Distribution Site Workers - We need both leadership and support for our two big, exciting tree distribution events each April and October. There's something for everyone! Take charge of one of our distribution sites as a Site Coordinator or serve as a traffic controller, cashier, mulch bagger, and much more!
Tree Planters - Engage in the powerful act of planting a young tree in our urban soils. You can transform a barren space into a lush streetscape filled with social, environmental, and economic benefits. Lifting and physical activity involved. Training will be provided.
Tree Wranglers - Help herd hundreds of our woody friends when they arrive by truck for our big distribution events! You'll learn proper tree handling techniques and help prepare these young trees for adoption in their new Denver homes. This position involves lifting.
